Homeless Heidi
I've been homeless since 2000, working and living in bush Alaska and spending most of the past 6 years in Antarctica. After 5 winters at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, it's time to move on. I'm settling down in the Hudson Valley area of New York state in January with Michael, the love of my life who will feed me well for the rest of my life.

Good morning Heidi and Michael. It looks as though it will be a beautiful day! What a lovely photo! Is that a noctilucent cloud in the upper right of the photo?
Enjoy your last Antarctic sunrise my friend!
Tara: If you look at the enlarged version of that photo, the object at the upper right could easily pass for a UFO. Actually, it's more likely a reflection of a light fixture. See some of the pics in Heidi's April blog entries for some good shots of the lights in the galley.
That is a beautiful picture though.
Ray is correct - it's a UFO shaped light reflection on the window. Actually it looks like the Iridium flares that we see when the sun glints off of our Iridium satellites passing overhead. Or maybe its a ray beam from Planet X.
