It's coming

This is what the horizon looked like all day yesterday:

It looked like the sky was on fire. This photo was taken from the Galley window overlooking the Dome, which you can't qute see but it's in the dark half. Only 11 more days until sunrise...

Good morning Heidi and Michael. It looks as though it will be a beautiful day! What a lovely photo! Is that a noctilucent cloud in the upper right of the photo?

Tara: If you look at the enlarged version of that photo, the object at the upper right could easily pass for a UFO. Actually, it's more likely a reflection of a light fixture. See some of the pics in Heidi's April blog entries for some good shots of the lights in the galley.

That is a beautiful picture though.

Ray is correct - it's a UFO shaped light reflection on the window. Actually it looks like the Iridium flares that we see when the sun glints off of our Iridium satellites passing overhead. Or maybe its a ray beam from Planet X.
